Donald Campbell

A highly respected referee, Don Campbell’s first international was Australia versus Bulgaria in 1973. From 1985-86 he handled back-to-back NSL grand finals. Campbell was awarded Referee of the Year in 1985, 1986 and 1987.

The son of a German migrant, Laurie Schwab grew up in St Albans, Victoria. As a young man Schwab became a soccer journalist with The Age newspaper. He was noted for his accuracy and was highly respected by Soccer Australia and National Soccer League club officials and players.

Les Scheinflug

Born in Yugoslavia in 1938 to German parents, Les Scheinflug migrated to Australia in 1955. Two years later he joined Sydney club Prague. Scheinflug spent seven of his 12 seasons there as captain.

Julius Re

Born in 1932, Julius Re was very active in Western Australian soccer and on the national scene. He was largely responsible for the formation of the WA Soccer Federation as the inaugural secretary and then president from 1964 to 1972.
