Charles Perkins

Born in 1934 in Alice Springs, Charles Perkins played junior soccer in Adelaide. He graduated to the senior ranks and trialled with English club Everton.

Australian soccer legend Frank Farina was born in Darwin on Sept 8, 1964. Farina began his playing career in 1981 aged just 16 as a striker with Mareeba in Cairns.

Tony Henderson

Born in England in 1954, Tony Henderson was a noted midfielder. He played in England and South Africa before coming to Australia to join newly-formed NSL club Canberra Arrows.

Pat O'Connor

English-born Pat O’Connor migrated to Sydney with her family in 1963. In 1965 she became a foundation member and captain of Bass Hill women’s team. She was also a member of Prague women from 1968-70. In 1971, with husband Joe, O’Connor formed the St George women’s team.

David Ratcliffe

A noted defender, David Ratcliffe was born in England in 1957. He played for Bradford City (UK) before migrating to Australia in 1979 to join Brisbane City as a 21 year old.
