The week-long camp marks the first time the players have re-grouped since the team-s quarter final exit from the FIFA Women-s World Cup in Germany last month.
Thea Slatyer and Sarah Walsh return to the squad following injury lay-offs while Brooke Spence, Michelle Heyman and Catherine Cannuli also return to the team as they prepare for the busy schedule in China from September 1-11. Heather Garriock and Lisa De Vanna were excused from the squad to remain with their respective teams LdB Malmo and Boca Raton magicJack.
The Westfield Matildas will play a practice match tomorrow evening at 6.30pm against the Queensland Academy of Sport U15 boy-s team at Carrara Sports Fields.
