Tim Cahill scores first Indian Super League goal for Jamshedpur

Corner flags beware - Tim Cahill is off the mark in the Indian Super League.

And the Caltex Socceroos legend opened his account for Jamshedpur in vintage Cahill style, nodding in a third-minute header in this morning’s clash against Kerala Blasters.

It was a goal reminiscent of many the 38-year-old has notched in Australian green and gold, as was the trademark celebration that followed.

Cahill’s side would add a second through Michael Soosairaj midway through the first half but squandered their advantage late on as Kerala notched two late goals to seal a 2-2 draw.

That’s the fourth stalemate Jamshedpur have tallied in five Indian Super League matches this season.

Cahill will return to Australia in under a month’s time to feature in one final match for the Caltex Socceroos, when they host Lebanon in Sydney on November 20.
