TELSTRA FOOTBALL ANYTIME CONTINUES TO SCORE GOALS
In excess of 2200 kids have now participated in Football Federation Australia’s official introductory program, Telstra Football Anytime, since it’s inception in March 2006. More than 80 clubs, schools and community groups have hosted the Telstra Football Anytime program which has now been rolled out in all states & territories.
Telstra Football Anytime is a program that has been made possible by the support of Football Federation Australia (FFA), Telstra and the Federal Government, and is aimed at introducing new participants to the game of football as well as their families and friends. Targeting 5-12 year old children, the program focuses on small-sided and age appropriate games and activities and encourages participants to play the game anywhere, anytime and with anyone. At the conclusion of each program children are given a kit of equipment and are also provided with information that will allow them to join their local football club.
FFA have worked closely with state member federations and Hyundai A-League clubs in the rollout of Telstra Football Anytime. Some of the Hyundai A-League clubs are also providing the opportunity for kids to participate in on-field demonstrations of Telstra Football Anytime either prior to or at half-time of Hyundai A-League matches. Hyundai A-League players have also supported the promotion of Telstra Football Anytime in general and also attended many programs throughout the country to pass on some tips and sign autographs.
For only $66 (including GST), children participate in the program for six sessions with each session coordinated by accredited FFA coaches. They also receive a Nike football, bag, drink bottle and markers.
