Caltex Socceroo striker Tomi Juric's Luzern have lost on penalties to Sion in the Swiss Cup semi-finals.
Juric played the full 90 minutes before being replaced just before half-time in extra-time.
The two sides couldn't find the net in 120 minutes and needed a penalty shoot-out to find a winner.
Trailing 6-5, Swiss midfielder Nicolas Haas missed Luzern's seventh spot-kick to send Sion through.
They will meet Basel in the final.
Juric will now refocus on the Swiss Super League.
Luzern are winless in their last six games and fourth on the table.
They next visit bottom side Vaduz on Sunday evening.
