Next week, the most powerful men and women in sport will be in the hot seat at Crown Palladium on Tuesday June 12 at the inaugural COMPPS CEOs Luncheon.

In an unprecedented event, the most powerful men and women in sport will be in the hot seat at Crown Palladium on Tuesday June 12 at the inaugural COMPPS CEOs Luncheon.

CEOs from Australia-s leading professional and participation sports will discuss the opportunities, challenges and issues at the forefront for Australia-s national obsessions - and it will all be broadcast live on Fox Sports News (Channel 513) from 1:00pm on Tuesday.

The COMPPS CEOs Luncheon will feature the following CEOs of Sport: Ben Buckley (FFA); Andrew Demetriou (AFL); Shane Mattiske (Interim CEO NRL); John O-Neill (ARU); Kate Palmer (Netball Australia); James Sutherland (Cricket Australia); Steve Wood (Tennis Australia).

Fox Sports- Ryan Phelan will put the CEOs under the griller, discussing the issues that sports collectively face, from grassroots participation and attendances, to match-fixing and life in the digital age.

The lunch will also seek to shed a personal light on the people we only know as leaders of our favourites sports.

COMPPS is the Coalition of Major Professional and Participation Sports - comprising Tennis Australia, Cricket Australia, Netball Australia, ARU, NRL, AFL and FFA.

The group was formed in 2008 to represent the sports when dealing with common objectives and issues.

Some of the major issues that COMPPS has dealt with in recent times include the introduction of national match-fixing legislation, anti-doping policies, anti-siphoning, ticket-scalping, sports betting and growing the level of participation in sport.
