The Socceroos have moved down to 61 in the latest FIFA world rankings for August released today by FIFA.
Australia were at 59 in the most recent rankings, released in July, after their opening 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia™ Qualifier win over Kyrgyzstan in Bishkek in June.

Bangladesh, Australia’s next 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia™ Qualifier opponents on September 3, are 170in the latest rankings.
Australia will also play Tajikistan in 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia ™ Qualifiers in September with the Tajiks now ranked 158.
