Caltex Socceroos defender Trent Sainsbury has returned to Italy following his 90-minute performance in Australia's 2-0 win over UAE in Sydney last week.
The talented Perth-born defender was an unused substitute in Inter Milan's 2-1 Serie A home loss to Sampdoria.
The Caltex Socceroo is still awaiting his Inter debut after his on-loan switch earlier this year from the Chinese Super League.

The loss sees the Italian giants remain sixth on the table with eight matches remaining in the 2016/17 season.
Sainsbury's performance against the UAE last week earned praise from his national team boss.
“With guys like Trent, I rate him very highly. And we’ve got to treat him like he’s someone precious for us," said Ange Postecoglou.
“Trent was outstanding. He organised everything really well and he’s such a composed player.”
