Round 3 Preview: Adelaide United v Perth Glory

Adelaide United will try to bounce back after coming up on the wrong end of a seven-goal thriller in Round 1 when they host Perth Glory on Saturday.

Adrian Stenta’s debut as head coach ended in a dramatic 4-3 reverse against Canberra United and the Reds aim to post a response against a Perth Glory side opening their campaign under another new coach in Alexander Epakis.

The Western Australians get their season under way by travelling to the City of Churches with a youthful squad of mainly local players, including rising star Hana Lowry, and led by veteran captain Natasha Rigby.

Glory face an Adelaide squad also made up of many promising prospects, and boosted by the experiences of the likes of Isabel Hodgson, United Stats ace Mallory Weber and Chile international Maria Jose Rojas. All three were on the scoresheet against Canberra.
