Tom Rogic’s return to first-team football has taken another step forward with 15 minutes off the bench in Celtic’s 5-1 derby thrashing of Rangers.
The Caltex Socceroos playmaker came on in 77th minute to help Brendan Rodgers’ men equal their largest ever victory at Ibrox.
Celtic raced to a 2-0 lead inside 20 minutes and added three more after the restart to claim their second Old Firm derby win in the space of a week, having ousted Rangers from the Scottish Cup last weekend.
Rogic also clocked up 15 minutes in that match and has now strung five straight appearances together after a lengthy injury layoff.
The 24-year-old will hope to prove his fitness through the final stage of the season ahead of a huge June for the Caltex Socceroos.
Elsewhere in Scotland, fellow Australian midfielder Ryan Edwards played a full 90 minutes as Partick Thistle were twice pegged back in a 2-2 draw at Hearts.
Veteran striker Scott McDonald was withdrawn after 73 minutes of relegation-threatened Motherwell’s 3-2 home defeat against Dundee.
