The independent Match Review Panel (MRP) - consisting of Alan Contini (Chair), Con Diomis and Robert Wheatley - convened to consider the following incidents from Round 10 of the Hyundai A-League 2014/15 Season.
1. An incident involving Kew Jaliens (Newcastle Jets) in or around the 82nd minute of Newcastle Jets FC’s match against Perth Glory on Friday evening. The MRP has the authority to consider the incident as the Player was issued with a direct Red Card for R1 – Serious Foul Play. The MRP has proposed a sanction of two (2) matches, being the Mandatory Match Suspension plus one (1) additional match. Under the Hyundai A-League Disciplinary Regulations, the Player may refer the matter to the Disciplinary Committee for hearing and Determination of the sole question of what additional sanction should be imposed (above the Mandatory Match Suspension which must be served). The Player has until 12:00pm Tuesday, 16 December 2014 to advise whether he wishes to appeal the one (1) additional match suspension;
2. An incident involving Mark Milligan (Melbourne Victory) in or around the 23rd minute of Melbourne Victory’s match against Sydney FC on Saturday evening. The Player has been cited for the incident and a show cause notice has been issued (the Notice). The Player has until 12:00pm Tuesday, 16 December 2014 to make submissions in response to the Notice. The MRP will reconvene tomorrow afternoon to consider the Citation Incident and any submissions filed by the Player.
3. An incident involving Manny Muscat (Wellington Phoenix) in or around the 48th minute of Wellington Phoenix’s match against the Central Coast Mariners on Saturday evening. The Player has been cited for the incident and a show cause notice has been issued (the Notice). The Player has until 12:00pm Tuesday, 16 December 2014 to make submissions in response to the Notice. The MRP will reconvene tomorrow afternoon to consider the Citation Incident and any submissions filed by the Player.
