Northern Territory is believed to have created a piece of history today at the Qantas National Talent Identification Championships at Valentine Sports Park, after its Under 15 girls team recorded the state-s first ever victory at a National Titles event.   Elle Crowe scored a stunning goal from a free kick to give NT a terrific victory over South Australia and put them into third position on the table, although they played all four of their games. The win by NT put a huge dent in SA-s semi final hopes.   In the other group A game, NSW Metro made it three wins from three games after beating its country cousins from NSW 2-0, to move to nine points. Not even a lose against Victoria in its final game will see them lose their spot in the finals, although they will be looking to finish as the No.1 team in the group.   In what was a closely fought game, the two goals were scored in the final five minutes of the game, from Jordan Marsh (65-) and Tori Gikas (67-).   In Group B, Northern NSW has joined group leaders Queensland on nine points after a solid 2-0 win over the ACT today. Renae Cowan (20-) and Leia Smith (69-) scored the goals.   Northern however will be sweating on the result of Thursday-s match between Queensland and Western Australia to see if they will play in the finals.   WA kept themselves in contention for the semi finals with a 2-0 win over Tasmania, with second half gaols from Anna Excell and Katy Coughlan, although they must beat Queensland by more than four goals to have any chance of making it through.   South Australia must beat NSW Country convincingly and hope Victoria lose by two or three goals against NSW Metro to have any hope of making the semi finals.   Meanwhile, South Australia has secured its place in the semi finals after beating Western Australia 1-0.   In what was a semi final decider, especially for the Western Australian-s, Stacey Day-s goal three minutes from full time, gave SA the win it needed to secure its place in the last four.   Western Australia chances of playing in the semi finals were then dealt a blow, when in the next game NSW Metro thumped Northern Territory 15-0.   ACT only needs a point against NSW Metro in its final game or if NSW win it will grab second spot on goal difference.   For NSW Metro, Katherine Cavanagh grabbed six goals, while Olivia Kennedy grabbed a hat-trick.   In Group A, Victoria kept its semi finals hopes alive with a 1-0 win over group leaders Northern NSW.   Andrea Totsidis converted a 71st minute penalty to secure a valuable three points for Victoria, to put them on seven points and a win over Tasmania in its final game will see them top the group at Northern-s expense.   In today-s other Group A match, Queensland kept its semi finals hopes alive with a 5-0 win over Tasmania, with Kirsten Jamieson netting a hat-trick.   Queensland however need Victoria to lose to Tasmania and win themselves over NSW Country to grab second spot.   Tomorrow is a rest day, with the final round matches to be played on Thursday and the semi finals on Friday. The Grand Final and 3rd and 4th place play-offs will be played on Saturday morning.
