NSW clean sweep at NYC Girls Championships

New South Wales made a clean sweep today of the finals at the 2007 National Youth Championships for Girls, with 3-0 wins in the Under 15 and 17 competitions.

New South Wales made a clean sweep today of the finals at the 2007 National Youth Championships for Girls, with 3-0 wins in the Under 15 and 17 competitions.

In the first final held at the BCU International Stadium in Coffs Harbour, the NSW 15-s got off a good start against Western Australia, with E. O-Reilly scoring after just six minutes.

Two goals to E. Stewart settled the issue before half time.

The 17-s was a closer affair for the majority of the match, but a three-goal burst in nine minutes, saw NSW home against Queensland.

Australian U/16 striker Kyah Simon grabbed a double with B. Simmons scoring the other goal for NSW.
