Mondelēz joins FFA corporate family as Socceroos partner
Mondelēz International has joined forces with Football Federation Australia (FFA) to become the official snacking partner of the Socceroos.
The deal links Australia’s most broadly supported national team, the Socceroos, with Aussie favourites Vegemite, Cadbury and Oreos.
The partnership will see the Socceroos brand placed in front of millions of Australian consumers all over the country at a time when the Socceroos are preparing to take on the world’s best football teams in Brazil.
“FFA is delighted to partner with one of the world's great companies, Mondelēz, to link the Socceroos with iconic Australian brands such as Cadbury, Vegemite and Oreos,” said FFA CEO David Gallop. “The support of these great brands is further confirmation of the growing strength of football in Australia, as we set out to take on the world in Brazil.
Mondelēz’s Managing Director of Snacking, Amanda Banfield, said she was enthused about having the company’s iconic brands partner with the Socceroos on their quest to conquer the world in Brazil.
“The association between the brands is very exciting, but the most important thing now is for everyone to throw their support behind the Socceroos and barrack like crazy for the national team – and for their favourite flavour as part of Cadbury’s Flavour Favour campaign,” she said.
