The forward returned to the Central Coast Mariners for the 2023-24 campaign, helping the side return to the final series on their return back to the league. Simon scored three goals in the campaign, making her return from an ACL injury mid-way through the season.

“I’ve always felt a deep connection with Sydney FC, winning is in the club’s DNA and is one of the main reasons for me returning," Simon said to sydneyfc.com.

“I’m excited to contribute to what is already a strong team."

“It’s quite nostalgic being back in Sky Blue and I’m looking forward to our season getting underway.

Sydney FC Head Coach Ante Juric talked about Simon's addition to his Championship-winning squad, “Kyah is one of Australia’s finest footballers, and bringing her back to Sydney FC is a huge boost for us,” he said.

“She made her name here, and her experience and leadership will be invaluable to the team this season." he said.

Simon could be set to make her return for Sydney FC in their opening game of the 2024-25 campaign, with the striker taking on her former club Central Coast Mariners on Saturday 2nd November.
