Jeggo back to winning ways in Austria

Jimmy Jeggo’s Sturm Graz are back on course for Europe after holding off St. Polten in an entertaining 3-2 win in the Austrian Bundesliga.

Leading 2-0 inside a spectacular first five minutes, Sturm needed a third just before the hour to stave off the visitors’ fightback.

Jeggo played the full 90 minutes in a win which moves his side back into third and ends a two-game losing run.

While leaders Red Bull Salzburg are out of sight, finishing second or third guarantees a Europa League qualification berth.

A former Hyundai A-League Young Footballer of the Year, Jeggo has racked up more minutes than ever before the season with the Vienna-born midfielder firmly establishing his place in the starting team.

The 25-year-old has four matches still to play before the season wraps up later this month.
