Jacynta Galabadaarachchi signs for U.S. Sassuolo Calcio in the Serie A Femminile, making the move back to Italy after spending the 2020/21 season at Napoli.
The midfielder joins Sassuolo after spending the last two seasons in Portugal with Sporting CP, where she helped the side lift the Portuguese Women's Super Cup at the end of 2024.
Galabadaarachchi brings plenty of experience to the side, having experience in the WSL with West Ham United, Serie A with Napoli, Scotland with Celtic, and in Portugal with Sporting CP.
Sassuolo came 8th in the 2024/25 season, avoiding relegation to Serie B during the Relegation Round. The side recorded five wins in the regular season, but on the reverse suffered 9 defeats.
The midfielder will join the likes of Jessika Nash, who just signed with U.S. Sassuolo Calcio and also her fellow Aussies in the Serie A, with Wini Heatley joining AS Roma and Alex Chidiac signing for F.C. Como.
