Independent Disciplinary and Ethics Committee Round 7 incident hearing

An independent Disciplinary and Ethics Committee hearing will be held tomorrow (Monday 28 November 2016) at Football Federation Australia’s offices (Level 22, 1 Oxford St, Darlinghurst) commencing at 5.00pm (AEDT) in relation to a matter involving Adelaide United Head Coach Guillermo Amor.

The independent Disciplinary and Ethics Committee hearing relates to an incident which occurred in or around the 68th minute of Adelaide United’s Round 7 match against Perth Glory on Friday, 18 November 2016.

As Amor was expelled from the match by the Referee, the Match Review Panel (MRP) considered this incident on Monday 21 November. The MRP regarded the incident constituting unsporting conduct towards a match official and has referred the incident to the Disciplinary and Ethics Committee for hearing regarding what additional sanction should apply, if any, over and above the Mandatory Match Suspension (which Amor served against Sydney FC on Saturday, 26 November 2016).
