The Hahn Australia Cup 2025 Quarter Finalists have been confirmed following the completion of the final Match Day in the Round of 16.
Eight clubs remain in contention to be crowned Hahn Australia Cup Winners, including three Member Federation sides alongside five Isuzu UTE A-League Men outfits.
Following their victories in the Round of 16, Sydney FC, Wellington Phoenix FC, Macarthur FC, Newcastle Jets FC, Auckland FC, Brisbane City FC (Football QLD), Heidelberg United FC (Football VIC) and Avondale FC (Football VIC) will contest the Quarter Final stage of the competition.
Sydney FC and Wellington Phoenix FC were first teams to advance to the Quarter Finals after defeating Sydney United 58 FC and Nunawading City FC respectively on Match Day 1 of the Round of 16. South Australia’s last remaining entrant MetroStars were then defeated by Macarthur FC who’s dreams of defending their Hahn Australia Cup title remain alive.
Heidelberg then completed the 20th ‘Cupset’ in Hahn Australia Cup history when they defeated Western Sydney Wanderers FC by three goals in a thrilling match to advance to the Quarter Finals, before Brisbane City FC triumphed in a penalty shootout against Western Australia’s Olympic Kingsway FC.
The final day of the Round of 16 saw Newcastle Jets FC and Auckland FC triumph over Cooks Hill United FC and South Melbourne FC respectively, before Avondale FC and APIA Leichhardt FC fought out a thrilling contest with Avondale FC emerging victorious.
The Draw for both the Quarter Finals (QF) and Semi Finals (SF) were conducted immediately following the Draw for the Round of 16, meaning clubs can now map their path and opponents all the way to the Cup Final.
The Hahn Australia Cup 2025 Quarter Finals will be played over six days from 19-24 August 2025.
It’s anticipated that venues, dates and timings for the Quarter Finals will be made available by Friday, 15 August 2025, as Football Australia works with participating clubs and Member Federations to navigate ground availability.
