NORTH Queensland Fury FC has finalised its roster with the signing of exciting indigenous Australian player David Williams.

Fury coach Ian Ferguson will have Williams on hand to play against Wolverhampton Wanderers in Perth on Wednesday night after the club-s Marquee under-21 player flew in from Copenhagen on Monday.

“David is an exciting prospect for the Fury, he brings goal scoring ability and speed to the squad and of course, he-s played for his country at under age levels and for the Qantas Socceroos in a World Cup Qualifier against China last year,” Ferguson said.

“David-s got a great reputation even at his young age and being an under-21 player and hopefully he-ll continue to develop as a player.”

“It-s great to have a young player of his talent in the squad.”

Williams- has already been privy to a wealth of opportunities through training with Belgian Club RSC Anderlecht, Liverpool FC and the Queensland Roar in the Hyundai A-League 2005/06 season.

The 21 year old striker scored 12 goals in five reserve team matches when he joined BrØndby and was promoted to the club-s first team squad in December 2006.

“He-s been playing in Denmark with BrØndby IF since 2006,” Ferguson said.

“We heard the club had lent him out for a trial in South Africa and thought we-d make a play for him and it-s paid off.”
