Free equipment for your club
Telstra Football Anytime (TFA) is the official club based introductory program of Football Federation Australia and is proudly supported by Telstra and the Australian Sports Commission. In excess of 10,000 children have been through the program since it’s inception in February 2006.
Football Federation Australia would like to inform your club of the revised TFA program which will come into effect from February 2008. Simply by conducting the TFA program your club can experience many benefits including receiving free football equipment as well as providing a wonderful football experience for children and their parents. The more participants involved in the program, the more bibs, markers and balls your club will receive.
What is Telstra Football Anytime? TFA is a six session program with each session lasting 75 minutes. TFA will now be offered in two formats of which a club can choose to conduct either format depending upon their individual needs. These programs can be conducted over a six week period or condensed into a school holiday program in the pre-season or any time during the year. One of the real features of TFA is it-s flexibility in terms of when it can be delivered.
The program costs $66 (inc.GST) per child; this includes the six sessions with children also receiving their very own equipment back pack which contains a Nike football, shin pads, markers, drink bottle and squeezy mini football.
Who is the TFA Program aimed towards?
5 - 8 year Boys and Girls Program This program caters for both children that have never played before and those in their initial playing years looking to enhance their football experience. TFA is a perfect small sided games based training program that can be conducted by clubs at anytime throughout the year. TFA features age appropriate groups rotating through a tabloid of modified skill activities and small sided games. The program is organised and conducted by a Head Coach with a minimum Youth License accreditation who is reimbursed by FFA. TFA also gives Volunteer Program Supervisors the opportunity to work under the direction of the Head Coach to deliver the program on a 1 to 10 ratio with the children. Importantly, these volunteers will receive a Grassroots Coaching Certificate (and accompanying resource) if they commit to assisting at all six sessions of the program.
5 - 12 year Girls Only Program This program caters for both girls that have never played before and those in their initial playing years looking to enhance their football experience. TFA is a perfect small sided games based training program that can be conducted by clubs at anytime throughout the year. The age limit has been increased to allow clubs and teams who cater specifically for girls the opportunity to use this program as a recruitment and training tool. TFA features age appropriate groups rotating through a tabloid of modified skill activities and small sided games.
