FOOTBALL UNITED began four years ago with a vision to assist recently arrived humanitarian refugee youth and families in their transition into Australian society. This wonderful initiative was founded by UNI of NSW lecturer ANNE BUNDE-BIROUSTE.

It's attracted the attention of FIFA, with Football United invited to compete in the recent Football for Hope Festival which was an official event of the FIFA World Cup 2010 in South Africa. Football United is also supported by FFA in its new national development program. FSOT surprised Anne at the team's recent welcome home BBQ!
