FIFA Women's World Cup 2011 tickets selling fast
The tournament in Germany is proving a big hit and has sold over 300,000 tickets already.
Aside from the opening match, the final and the group games involving hosts Germany, other matches, such as the match for third place in Sinsheim and the four quarter-finals, have been in particularly high demand.
“These sales figures once again demonstrate the popularity of the Women-s World Cup among the public in Germany and abroad. Despite the high demand there is still a good chance of getting a ticket, as the OC Ticket Centre will make further batches available through its online ticket shop.
I would advise fans to regularly check our website, FIFA.com/germany2011, for ticket offers and updates” said OC President Steffi Jones.
Sales of individual tickets will continue until 31 December 2010 on a ‘first-come, first-served- basis. A total of 700,000 tickets are on general sale for the 32 FIFA Women-s World Cup 2011 matches in the host cities of Augsburg, Berlin, Bochum, Dresden, Frankfurt, Leverkusen, Monchengladbach, Sinsheim and Wolfsburg.
