FFA statement in relation to website error

Football Federation Australia (FFA) has completed an internal investigation into an issue with the organisation’s official website yesterday.

The result of that investigation found that a technical production error by an employee of an external provider, was the cause of a draft news article in the back-end of the website network to be published accidently.

FFA accepts responsibility for this error and apologises unreservedly to Michael McGlinchey, and the Wellington Phoenix & Central Coast Mariners Football Clubs for any inconvenience caused.

FFA has put in place protocols to ensure that this type of error does not occur in the future.
