FFA PROFESSIONAL COACHES DEVELOPMENT ADVISORY COMMITTEE
FFA has formed a Professional Coaches Development Advisory Committee which will be responsible for ensuring that the FFA Coach Education & Professional Development/ Wellbeing programs adopt world leading practices.
The Advisory Committee will achieve its objectives by convening quarterly meetings and utilizing expert ad hoc committee members to advance key missions, objectives and strategies. The first meeting will be held in August 2015.
The FFA Professional Coaches Development Advisory Committee will be responsible for ensuring that the FFA Coach Education and Professional Development/ Wellbeing programs adopt world leading practices by.
- Seeking continual improvement in everything we do
- Effective implementation and evaluation of the FFA Coach Education and Professional Development / Wellbeing Strategic Plans, policies and programs
- Prioritising the advancement of national coaching research which will have practical benefits of enhancing the effectiveness of football coaches in Australia
- Maximising the opportunities of ‘advanced’ Australian football coaches undertaking “blended learning packages” around the world through the development of targeted international football relationships, partnerships and coaching networks
- Ensuring world leading benchmarks, in coach education, CPD and tertiary institute programs, are adopted according to Asian Football Confederation, International Coaching Centre of Excellence & Australian Sports Commission coaching frameworks
- To ensure integration and alignment of national & international graduate, post graduate, Corporate and international football association learning and CPD opportunities with the FFA Advanced Coach Education programs
- Promoting the availability of well being support services for “advanced coaches”
Ad hoc committee members have been identified for their expertise in particular areas of elite coach profiling, research, sport science, professional development and wellbeing. Their expertise will be sought at appropriate times in the ongoing development of the program. FFA will also be seeking targeted partnerships with Australian tertiary institutions in the development of advanced coach research, professional development and wellbeing initiatives.
