A first half strike from Luke Parker was enough to seal the three points and a move up the table towards the leaders however both New South Wales and Victoria maintained their undefeated record on Day Four.
Victoria claimed a 2-0 victory over Western Australia courtesy of goals from Harris Stamboulidis in the 31st and Lewis Smirlis in the 47th to relegate their Western counterparts a second straight defeat.
New South Wales are yet to concede a goal at the championships as they made it four wins on the trot with a 4-0 victory over South Australia. New South Wales- Bright Appiah found the back of the net for the third game in a row scoring twice in the 12th and 37th minute with further goals from Adrian Lara and Kevin Ly.
Queensland moved up two spots on the ladder after outclassing the ACT to run out 4-0 victor-s in gusty conditions. Goals either side of the break by Conor O-Neill along with goals from Stephen O-Neill and Jack Gleadhill ensuring that the ACT remains winless at the tournament-s halfway mark.
In the Girls 14 competition, Victoria recorded their first victory of the championships to move into third on the ladder with a 2-0 victory over Western Australia. Allison Clarke struck first for Victoria in the 22nd minute before their lead was doubled when Zoe Courtney found the target ten minutes later as Western Australia continues to search for their maiden victory.
New South Wales extended their lead at the top of the table to five points ahead of Northern NSW, who had the bye, with a 2-0 victory over South Australia. A brace from Melissa Caceres was enough to seal the three points for her New South Wales side with goals in the 7th and 35th minute.
Neither the ACT or Queensland could manage to trouble the scorer drawing 0-0 despite opportunities.
