Eight of the ten teams that will contest the 4th Round of AFC World Cup qualifiers have been confirmed after tonight's matches.

Only the second team from Australia's group and also Group 5 have yet to be decided.

Joining Australia are Bahrain and Japan (Group 2); DPR Korea and Korea Republic (Group 3), Uzbekistan and Saudi Arabia (Group 4) plus Iran from Group 5.

Bahrain secured the point it needed with a 1-1 draw against Oman, while Japan were far too good for Thailand. DPR Korea won 2-0 at home to end Jordan's hopes, while Korea Republic go through after a 3-1 win over Turkmenistan.

Uzbekistan maintained its 100% winning record, with an easy 3-0 win over Lebanon, while Saudi Arabia won 2-0 against Singapore. Iran won 2-0 against Syria to earn their spot.

Iraq and Qatar have it all to play for next week in Dubai, while UAE needs a point from its final game against Syria to advance. A Syrian win will see them join UAE on eight points and down to goal difference.
