Mitchell Duke has helped Shimizu S-Pulse produce a stunning comeback against J-League highflyers Urawa Reds overnight.
Shimizu were trailing 2-0 when the former Central Coast Mariners striker was brought on just after the hour mark.
But Duke’s introduction sparked an astonishing fightback by the visitors who scored three quick goals to take the lead thanks to a Tae-Se Jong brace and another to Tiago Alves.
Unfortunately, Shimizu couldn’t hold on as Shinzo Hiroki completed his hat-trick for Urawa as the match ended 3-3.
Elsewhere in the J-League, Milos Degenek played 90 minutes as Yokohama F. Marinos drew 1-1 with Vegalta Sendai.
And Oliver Bozanic came off the bench with 17 minutes left as his Vontforet Kofu were beaten 2-1 at home by Sanfreece Hiroshima.
