CommBank Pararoos assemble in Canberra for first Training Camp of 2025

The CommBank Pararoos are preparing for their first training camp of 2025 as they begin their journey toward the IFCPF Asian-Oceania Cup, set to take place later this year in Indonesia. 

Held from 11–13 July at the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) in Canberra, the domestic camp marks the start of a crucial campaign for the team as they look to re-establish themselves as the premier CP football nation in Asia. 

The IFCPF Asian-Oceania Cup will take place from 12–23 November in Surakarta City, Indonesia, and marks the next major international test for the CommBank Pararoos as they continue their journey on the world stage. 

Following a 13th-place finish at the 2024 IFCPF Men’s World Cup in Spain, the Pararoos have entered into a new phase as the squad continues to evolve, combining experienced leaders with emerging talent ready to make their mark on the national stage. 

A 19-player squad that has been selected for the camp features a strong mix of veterans and fresh faces. Among them is long-time stalwart David Barber, whose leadership and presence will be invaluable in shaping the group’s identity ahead of their next international test. 

The camp also includes nine players from the 2024 World Cup squad, providing consistency and a solid foundation of experience as preparations intensify in the lead-up to the Asian-Oceania Cup.
