Tomi Juric has been ruled out of the Caltex Socceroos’ 2018 FIFA World Cup Qualifier against Thailand on Tuesday 15 November after scans confirmed the extent of the knee injury the Swiss-based striker suffered on the weekend.
Juric has been replaced by Apo Giannou, who is on his way to Thailand to join his Caltex Socceroos team mates.

“We have had confirmation from the medical staff at Luzern that Tomi has suffered a knee injury that will rule him out of the match against Thailand,” Postecoglou said. “Apo Giannou was on standby and he is on his way to Thailand to join the squad.
“Over the last 18 months we have worked hard to ensure we have depth and we have full faith in Apo to join the squad and get the job done.”
