Australian Match Officials Receive Further Fifa Ap
Australia’s six match officials at the FIFA Confederation Cup Germany 2005 and the FIFA World Youth Championship Netherlands 2005 will be in action over the coming two days.
Referee Matthew Breeze, along with assistant referees Matthew Cream and Jim Ouliaris will feature on the second day of action at the FIFA Confederations Cup when they will control the Japan v Mexico match in Hanover. The tournament will commence tonight with Australia playing in the official opening match of the tournament against host-nation Germany at the Wald Stadium in Frankfurt.
The Australian trio at the FIFA World Youth Championship - referee Mark Shield, and assistant referees Nathan Gibson and Ben Wilson - are set to look after their second match in three days having been appointed to tonight-s match between Switzerland and Brazil in Emmen. They previously officiated at the match between Colombia and Italy in Tilburg.
The Socceroos- match against Germany will commence at 5am AET (Live coverage on SBS TV - Check local guides).
The Qantas Young Socceroos will take on host-nation Netherlands in Kerkrade commencing at 4.30am AET (Delayed coverage on SBS TV commencing at 7.15am - Check local guides).
