Milos Degenek signed a four-year deal to make his loan move to Red Star Belgrade permanent and celebrated with a victory against the Serbian league-leaders.
The Caltex Socceroos defender initially agreed a temporary move to the Serbia's capital in July following a six-month spell at Saudi Arabia club Al-Hilal.

The clubs finalised the permanent transfer before the 25-year-old led the Star into the home of the Serbian SuperLiga leaders, FK Vojvodina, and helped the Red-Whites to a 2-1 victory.

Milan Pavkov fired Crvena Zvedza in front on 27 minutes before Arandel Stojkovic hit back for the table-toppers at their Karadorde Stadium in Novi Sad.
Argentine winger Mateo Garcia tipped the game in Red Star’s favour on 59 minutes with a stunning volley and the visitors held on clinch five straight league wins and inflict the Tulips' first defeat of the season.
Vojvodina remain top on 16 points with Red Star a point back in third with two games in hand.
The victory, and the new deal, caps a phenomenal week for Degenek, who helped the Star advance to the UEFA Champions League group stage with an away-goals triumph over Swiss champions Young Boys on Wednesday.

“I am happy that we have solved everything so now I can say that I am completely a Star player, although this has been in my heart since the first day,” Degenek said.
“You all saw how much I wanted to get back in the red and white, at all costs, so you can imagine how happy I am now.
“We expect an exciting season in Europe, as well as in the domestic competition, and I hope that all the supporters will remember it for a long time after its great success.
“I am here to do my best, as I have always done, and to die for our Star on the field with my teammates.”
