The Qantas Australian U13 Boys Football team were defeated on the final day of the AFC Festival of Football Tournament losing 7-1 to a physical and uncompromising the Myanmar U14 national team.
The Qantas Australian U13 Boys Football team's last game of the tournament allowed them the opportunity to put behind them the day's earlier result. This was evident from the outset with Jacob Tarasenko confirming Australia's intentions immediately converting in opportunistic fashion to hand Australia the early lead. Australia had a number of chances to extend their lead, but it wasn't until the midpoint of the second half when Anthony Krkovski rounded off a convincing display to score and confirm a 2-0 result to end the tournament on a high.
At the completion of the tournament, Jordan Pokler, Anthony Duzel and Lucas Spinella were named in the All Star team that played a match against a Malaysian select XI as the final fixture of the festival.
