Adelaide United School Holiday Clinics
A joint venture between Adelaide United, Football Federation SA and the South Australian Women’s Soccer Association resulted in a feast of football featuring Adelaide United’s whole A-League squad in addition to the State Coaches.
Nearly 500 youngsters turned out to be treated to top class coaching along with the chance to meet their hometown heroes. The Matilda-s (Australian Women-s National Team) attended one of the sessions and were well received by the encouraging amount of girls present. Goalkeepers were also catered for in specialized sessions.
Telstra Football Anytime was also showcased and attracted enthusiastic attention from all involved.
These activities were the only Football Federation Australia officially endorsed clinics to take place in SA and enabled the State Coaches to meet the children and parents and explain to them the development pathways they could follow.
