ACT Kids Queue up for first TFA Program
Weston Creek Soccer Club will be hosting the Australian Capital Territory’s first Telstra Football Anytime program for 2007 and it has already proved to be a huge hit, with registrations having to be closed early due to the big numbers.
With four (4) days until the commencement of the program, organisers had no choice but to close-off registrations (for this program only) due to the community-s massive interest. Football Federation Australia has received well over 100 registration forms for the program which kicks off on Friday 2nd March at the Waramanga Fields.
This continues the positive increase in numbers for all TFA centres across the country since the start of the new year.
2007 started off strongly with some of the Hyundai A-League clubs hosting TFA programs in their communities. Adelaide United FC started the year off with 95 kids attending their TFA program at Underdale High School. The A-League programs were continued by the Newcastle Jets, Queensland Roar and Melbourne Victory, with these programs alone attracting a combined total of just over 300 children.
Since the end of January, there have been TFA programs throughout Queensland and New South Wales which have contributed to the biggest month for TFA since its inception in March 2006.
To register your interest for future programs in the ACT region, please e-mailus and we will let you know when the next program will be starting.
