On the 35th anniversary of Australia's first game at the FIFA World Cup, FFA will launch its 2018-022 FIFA World Cup Bid as part of 'Super June'.

On the 35th anniversary of Australia's first game at the FIFA World Cup, FFA will launch its 2018-2022 FIFA World Cup Bid as part of 'Super June'.

The launch, to be held at Parliament House, Canberra will be held on Sunday 14 June.

All Socceroos - past and present - have been invited (including the 1974 World Cup squad), along with FFA partners, the U-17 Joeys and other special guests.

Speakers include the Prime Minister, the Opposition Leader, Malcolm Turnbull, Qantas Socceroos captain, Lucas Neill and goalkeeper, Mark Schwarzer, as well as Harry Williams from the 1974 squad.

Today-s launch unveiled a website for Australia-s bid at www.australia2018-2022.com.au which is a football-themed social networking site.
