During the Spring School Holidays, various clubs and organisations across the country will be teaming up with Football Federation Australia to conduct Telstra Football Anytime programs for hundreds of children.
During the Spring School Holidays, various clubs and organisations across the country will be teaming up with Football Federation Australia (FFA) to conduct Telstra Football Anytime (TFA) programs for hundreds of children.
The TFA program is an initiative from Football Federation Australia aimed at introducing children, their families and friends to football. TFA is the only official football program of its type in Australia and provides an ideal introduction to the game for 5-12 year old girls and boys as it is ‘game-centred- and encourages children to play the game anywhere, anytime and with anyone!
Recognising the fact that children love to play, TFA is designed so that participants can experience football through small-sided games, age appropriate activities as well as providing them with the basic skills and game awareness to play club football.
The TFA programs are generally conducted over a 6 week period but the 3-day school holiday format has received extremely positive feedback. Matthew Bulkeley, FFA-s Head of Game Development says “A lot of parents love the fact that for $66 they can register their child into a quality introductory football training program that is both fun and beneficial to them. It also fills in 3 mornings during the school holidays for them which is an added bonus.”
Now that all club football seasons are over and done with, the TFA programs will give children their last dose of ‘organised- football before the summer.
