Subway Australian U-23 squad update – Doha International Cup

Subway Australian U-23s Head Coach, Tony Vidmar has been required to make changes to his squad for the Doha International U-23 Cup to be held during the March FIFA Men’s International Window.

Patrick Beach (Melbourne City FC) has joined the Subway Socceroos camp in Sydney for a development opportunity, a reward for his strong club form in the Isuzu UTE A-League Men competition.

Beach will be replaced by Anthony Pavlesic (FC Bayern Munich II), who will travel to Doha to join the Subway Australian U-23s for matches against Croatia (19 March), United Arab Emirates (22 March) and Qatar (25 March).

Kasey Bos (Melbourne Victory FC) and Mohamed Toure (Randers FC) have also been ruled out through injury, with Jed Drew (TSV Hartberg) and Sebastian Esposito (US Lecce) their replacements.

The Doha International U-23 Cup features U-23 sides from Croatia, Egypt, Qatar, Thailand and the United Arab Emirates.

The Subway Australian U-23s have assembled in Qatar, in what will be their first activity of 2025 as they begin working towards their AFC U23 Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2026™ Qualifiers in September.
