The finalists for the prestigious Bill Turner Cup (Boys) and Trophy (Girls) school competitions have been decided with John Paul College (QLD) and Westfield Sports High (NSW) winning through to the Boys final, while Cavendish Road Sport High (QLD) will play Bega High (NSW).

In yesterday-s semi finals both John Paul College and Westfield Sports High recorded comfortable semi final wins, to set up a mouth watering final that kicks off at 7.30pm tonight at Jack McLaughlan Oval, Edgeworth (Newcastle).
The John Paul College side was predominantly made up of the school-s South Korean students that are on a soccer program, with their own football campus, and they played accordingly.
The scores were locked at 1-all at half time with Chan Il CHUNG scoring on 12 minutes for John Paul College, heading home a neat cross from Dong Hyeok LIM, while Oxley replied with a goal to Anthony BURNS right on the whistle of half-time.
In the second half John Paul College-s fitness and apparent skills took over and was demonstrated in the score-line, netting three quality goals to be the first team in the grand final.

They will meet perennial finalists and defending champions Westfields in the final, who accounted for Canberra-based Daramalan Colege 5-1.
Timothy McGowan single handedly won the game for Westfields Sports High with four well-executed goals, three in the first and one in the second halves.
Westfields now have the chance to defend the Bill Turner Cup grand final they won last year and become the all-time record winner of the cup in the 26 year history of the tournament.
Westfields will now contest their sixth cup final.
Daramalan scored their lone goal, against a well drilled Westfields, in the 32nd (of 60) minute of the match from the penalty spot through Domenic Giampaulo.

The third placed play-off between Oxley High and Daramalan College is at 4.15pm today.
The Girls semi final clashes were a lot tighter affairs with Cavendish Road Sports High getting into the final courtesy of a penalty shootout victory over Hunter Sports High, while Bega High recorded the upset of the semi finals with a 2-1 win over Westfields Sports High.
They will meet in the final at 5.45pm.
Defending Champions Cavendish were made to fight all the way for their place in the final against a determined Hunter team.
At half time the game was nil-all and at full-time it was 1-all sending the match into golden-goal extra-time. The match was still 1-all at the end of extra-time forcing a penalty shoot-out, won 3-2 by Cavendish Road.
Hunter Sports High went to the lead in the 42nd minute (of 60) with a well-taken left foot strike by Gema Simons. Simons received the ball at the top of the penalty area on the left side after Rebecca Davies and Morgan Vosilla had put on a neat one-two down the right, Davies crossed for Simons to hit the ball first time and found the net to the Cavendish Road ‘keeper-s Tashie Maverick left.
Six minutes on (48m) Lorena Maggio equalized for Cavendish Road after Monique Kofoed worked into the danger zone down the right flank and crossed for Maggio who rounded the Hunter ‘keeper Niki Dieter and tapped the ball into an open net.
Cavendish Road had two chances on goal to Hunter-s one in extra time before the match went to penalties.

At the 14 minute mark Bega showed they would be hard to break down when they built out of defence and forced a corner on the right side, fortunately for Westfield s Stephanie Haim was able to clear off the line.
Six minutes later (20m) Emma Donnelly found her way through center field and into the area to score with right foot strike that went to the left of Westfields keeper Courtney Halpin.
On 41 minutes (of 60) Westfields equalized through Kayleigh Koops. Koops right foot shot, from just inside the area, went low and to Bega ‘keeper, Emily Criticos- left just out of her diving reach.
Bega took the lead on 53 minutes when Renee Rollason, from a free kick, directed the ball goal bound and unfortunately for Westfields their defender Leesa Thomson headed on the ball into the net and recorded the dreaded ‘own goal- tag against her name on the score sheet.
