Central Coast Mariners 2 – 2 Melbourne City
The Central Coast Mariners remain the only team in the competition that Melbourne City have not been able to defeat this season, holding the undefeated premiers to a 2-2 draw in the first leg of the semi-final.
The Mariners scored first thanks to English national Brooke Nunn. City hit back, with a bullet free kick to Leticia McKenna levelling proceedings before Bryleeh Henry rounded the keeper in space to give the Premiers the lead before the break. Nunn’s second goal after half-time restored parity.
City dominated possession throughout the game, but the chances created were relatively even, with the Mariners doing a good job of containing a side that is full of attacking options.
The second leg will take place in Melbourne next week.
Leah Davidson, Laura Hughes, Karly Roestbakken and goalscorer Bryleeh Henry all started the game for City. Holly McNamara came off the bench in the second half after a knock at training saw her minutes limited.
Jessika Nash started and played the full match for the Mariners.

Adelaide United 1 – 3 Melbourne Victory
Melbourne Victory have taken control of the semi-final tie against Adelaide with a 3-1 victory in the first leg.
The first half was a frantic, attacking affair, with chances for both sides. Emily Gielnik opened the scoring after a wonderful ball from goalkeeper Courtney Newbon before Adelaide equalised almost immediately, with Erin Healy in the right place to tap home a rebound after a shot from Emily Condon.
However, Victory took charge in the second half. New Zealand international defender Claudia Bunge scored a brace from corners to help the visitors to a two-goal first-leg advantage.
Adelaide now faces the task of overcoming a deficit in Melbourne if they are to advance to their first-ever Grand Final.
Goal scorer Emily Gielnik started the game for Victory, as did Alex Chidiac and Alana Murphy. Matilda McNamara started in the heart of defence for the Reds.
