Chelsea became the first English team to win all six of their UEFA Women’s Champions League group stage games.
Meanwhile, Arsenal defeated Bayern Munich to finish top of their group.

Group A
A late goal to Dutch international Danielle van de Donk saw Lyon defeat Wolfsburg 1-0 and go into the knockout stages with a perfect record. The German side more than held their own, and had several promising opportunities themselves. In the end, however, Lyon’s quality shone through. Ellie Carpenter started and played the full match at right back.
Group B
Two second-half penalties converted by Catarina Macario helped Chelsea defeat Real Madrid 2-1. The result meant that they completed a perfect record in the UWCL group stage, the first English team to do so. Sam Kerr remains unavailable for Chelsea due to injury.
FC Twente finished their UWCL campaign with a 3-0 victory over Celtic. Kayleigh van Dooren scored in the first half before a pair of own goals secured the result for the Dutch side. Daniela Galic was introduced in the 72nd minute, but had to leave the field moments later due to injury.
Group C
Arsenal came from behind to defeat Bayern Munich 3-2 and finish top of Group C. After an own goal, forced from Kyra Cooney-Cross' corner, gave the home side the lead, Magdalena Eriksson’s brace put the German side ahead. That lead wouldn’t last – Alessia Russo and Mariona Caldentey wrestled the lead back to the Gunners, and means that they will have a more favourable draw in the next stage.
Steph Catley, Kyra Cooney-Cross and Caitlin Foord all started for Arsenal.
Group D
Barcelona defeated a depleted Manchester City 3-0 to avenge their defeat earlier in the group stage. Claudia Pina, Aitana Bonmati and Alexia Putellas were the goalscorers as the Spanish side ran riot. Mary Fowler and Alanna Kennedy both played the full match for Manchester City as they dropped to second in the group.
