Stats, Facts & Milestones Round 18's blockbuster match will see the Hyundai A-League travel to Adelaide Oval for the first time, where Adelaide United will be aiming to attract the biggest ever crowd to watch a football (soccer) match in South Australia. The highest official attendance at a football match in SA currently stands at 20,870, for the Australia (2) v Juventus (4) World Series tournament match at Football Park (now AAMI Stadium) on 12 June 1984. The biggest crowd to attend a domestic league fixture in South Australia is 16,558, recorded in the 2003/04 NSL finals series when Adelaide United defeated South Melbourne 2-1 at Hindmarsh Stadium. The largest attendance at a football match at Adelaide Oval was 18,582 set way back in 1958 when Australia lost 0-1 to England's Blackpool, whose side included English legend Stanley Matthews.
