FIFA Coaching Courses to be held in Australia
2009 is set to be a cornerstone year for Coach Education in Australia, following the announcement that FIFA Coaching Courses will be held in Australia for the first time.
Following on from the success of FFA-s 2nd National Coaching Conference in February, the FFA will conduct four FIFA Coaching Courses later this year.
‘Our good relationship with FIFA, and the vision of FIFA Technical Director Jean-Michel Benezet, has led to the approval of courses for top-level coaches, for futsal, for women and for coaching instructors,- said Kelly Cross, National Coach Education Manager, ‘which are the four major areas FIFA target.-
FFA have also enlisted the support of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), too, ensuring that accreditation gained by successful coaches on these courses is recognised by AFC.
