FFSA are well underway in identifying Talented Indigenous Players from all regions of South Australia to participate in the Indigenous Football Festival to be held in Townsville in July. Boys and girls 13-16 years of age, from both regional and metropolitan communities throughout SA, now have in place a clear player pathway which will in the future provide the up and coming Indigenous generation an opportunity to play and perform at the highest level within Australia and beyond, including International status.

Most recently, Ceduna conducted an Indigenous Talent Identiification session in which women power was in force, with great numbers of female participants attending. Basic ball skills and small sided games were on offer, as this provided the players an opportunity to showcase their footballing abilities. Special mention and thanks must be said for Belichia Saunders in organising players and venues for the Ceduna Indigenous Talent Identification.

Port Augusta is also currently in the process of identifying talented Indigenous players from their surrounding communities. Future planned dates for sessions open to Indigenous boys and girls 13-16 include: Riverland 3rd April and Adelaide Metropolitan April 9th (contact Vito Basile 0408 899 878 or vito.basile@footballaustralia.com.au), Pt Lincoln April 8th (contact Nel Taylor 0448 693 440 or nel.taylor@plhs.sa.edu.au), Coober Pedy April 28th (contact Lyndal Price 8672 5077).
