The FFA National Youth Championships for Boys produced another entertaining days play yesterday, as the Group B Winners were confirmed while Group A in both age groups will have to wait until the final day to confirm a winner.
Capital Football secured the top spot in both the 13 and 14 Years Group B Pools, both winning to secure twelve of a possible twelve points, making it mathematically impossible to be caught.
At the conclusion of Day 3 two points separated first and last in the 13 Years Group A, and that gap moved to just three at the end of Day 4 with Football West ahead on seven points, and Northern NSW Metro trailing on four.
For the most interesting finish to the Championships, Group A in the 14 Years cannot be looked past. Northern NSW Metro, Football West and Queensland Metro all sit on ten points with NSW Metro also in the Championship hunt, one behind on nine.
The final race is perfectly set up as Northern NSW face Queensland on Day 5 at 3.10pm, and Football West challenge NSW at 11.10am; two fixtures which at their conclusion will see the 14 Years National Champions crowned.
Day 4 provided a combination of positivity, teamwork, courage and skill as the event draws to a close, and has set up a fascinating finish to the FFA National Youth Championships for Boys, 2015.
