Djite moves clubs
Bruce Djite has became the latest aspiring World Cup Socceroo to switch clubs in a bid to get more game time, moving on a six-month loan deal from Genclerbirligi to Diyarbakirspor.
The 23-year-old is on the fringe of Pim Verbeek's squad for South Africa, but with the national coach demanding all his players see game time ahead of the tournament, he has opted to switch clubs.
Diyarbakirspor is placed 14th on the Super Lig table and said on its official website that the former Adelaide United player, who was the Hyundai A-League Young Player of the year in 2007-08, would be an excellent addition.
The newly-promoted club is desperate for goalscorers having only managed 17 goals from as many matches this season.
Djite had fallen out of favour at Genclerbirligi, making just five appearances as a substitute this season.
