CommBank Matildas Squad Update - 1st April 2025

CommBank Matilda Katrina Gorry is unavailable for the March/April FIFA Women’s International Window held in New South Wales.

Following the weekend fixture against Chelsea FC Women, West Ham United FC Women medically withdrew the midfielder from Australia’s 23-player squad.

In form Melbourne City FC midfielder Leah Davidson has earned a second call up to the senior national team in the place of Gorry.

Davidson, who recorded her first international cap and scored her first international goal in December 2024, has been an influential midfield component of a dominant Melbourne City side who currently enjoy an unbeaten 2024/25 Ninja A-League campaign.

Australia will take on their fellow AFC rivals, Korea Republic, at Sydney’s Allianz Stadium on Friday, April 4, kicking off at 8:00pm (AEDT), before wrapping up the series at McDonald Jones Stadium in Newcastle on Monday, April 7, with a 7:30pm (AEST) start.

Australia and Korea Republic in Sydney is supported proudly by the NSW Government’s tourism and major events agency, Destination NSW.

The CommBank Matildas two-match international series against Korea Republic will be available for fans to listen and watch live thanks to Football Australia’s broadcast partner, Paramount Australia and on the ABC Listen App.
