It is nearing 10 years since that famous night the Socceroos ended more than 30 years of heartbreak and qualified for the 2006 FIFA World Cup with a penalty shootout victory over Uruguay in Sydney.
A special 10th Anniversary Gala Event will be held in November to celebrate the momentus occasion and you have the opportunity to be involved!
The evening will pay tribute to the members of the 2006 FIFA World Cup Qualifying squad including coach Guus Hiddink, stars John Aloisi, Mark Schwarzer and bid farewell to the departing FFA Chairman Mr Frank Lowy AC, Deputy Chairman Brian Schwartz AM and long standing board member Phill Wolanski AM.
This can’t be missed black tie event will host 1000 people on the pitch at ANZ Stadium with appearances on stage from members of the Socceroos 2006 FIFA World Cup squad and more.
