Australian schools teams have gone undefeated in a month-long tour of the UK and Ireland.

The Australian high schools boys and girls teams left Sydney in early January for a nine-game tour against some of the best British and Irish schools teams.

With the final boys game against Forest Green Rovers cancelled due to a frozen pitch, both the boys and girls teams went through the entire tour undefeated.

The boys team had an impressive record of six wins and two draws, scoring 20 goals and conceding just nine.

But the girls team went even better, winning all eight fixtures, scoring a mammoth 34 goals in the process and conceding just five.

A successful tour certainly bodes well for the future of Australian football and the next generation of Qantas Socceroos and Westfield Matildas.
